Move In Colors

Moving in Colors is a series of dancing and painting workshops facilitated by dancer Elsa Rousson and painter Lavia Lin.

Each workshop invited participants to connect through movement and art, with a unique theme guiding the experience.

Our creative journey started in 2024,  the first three sessions at C*SPACE Berlin focused on musicality, emotions, and love. In July, we delved into identity, body awareness, and migration, surrounded by the inspiring artworks at Under the Mango Tree gallery. The final two workshops took place outdoors at Tempelhofer Feld and Hasenheide, exploring our connection to nature, with the last edition in August centered on the theme of letting go.

Though this series has come to an end as we shift focus to other projects, we hope to reconnect in the future! Stay tuned for more!

I joined Move in Colors with Elsa and Lavia.

It’s an experience that leaves an imprint.

First you learn to be yourself. To giggle while doing crazy movements. To laugh about yourself while doing them. And that’s it is okay because you’re welcome to be you.

Then you explore your body. How your physical self express different emotions, how you become them.

After the emotional water boiled, you dance! You dance through all what you experienced. And you feel alive. Like a river that contains all your colours.

And at the end, you get a gift. A gift from yourself. A painting where you express what you experienced.

Move in colours was for me literally moving in colours inside. And looking up and seeing that I’m not alone. That I’m doing this with other humans, that are going through their colours. That are the same like mine.

Thank you Elsa and Lavia ♥️ »
